After 6 years of service our repaired Flight Radar 24 receiver is located at the wagoner’s gap site.<\/span><\/p>\n

Flightradar24 operates the world’s largest network of ADS-B\/Mode S receivers. This network, together with government air traffic control and other data sources, is how Flightradar24 is able to track aircraft around the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

ADS<\/b>–B<\/b>\u00a0 – A<\/strong>utomatic D<\/strong>ependent S<\/strong>urveillance\u2013B<\/strong>roadcast is a surveillance technology in which an aircraft determines its position via satellite navigation or other sensors and periodically broadcasts it, enabling it to be tracked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mode-S<\/strong> employs\u00a0airborne transponders to provide altitude and identification data, with Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) adding global navigation data typically obtained from a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. <\/span>The\u00a0Mode S\u00a0is a secondary surveillance and communication system which supports Air Traffic Control (ATC). Each\u00a0Mode S transponder\u00a0equipped aircraft is assigned a unique address code. Using this unique code, interrogations can be directed to a particular aircraft and replies can be unambiguously identified.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aircraft\u00a0ADS<\/b>–B<\/b> transmissions use 4.6 MHz of bandwidth centered on the\u00a0frequency<\/b> 1090 MHz\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
