Bowman, Jr., 65, of 307 3rd Street, Mt. Gretna died in his sleep on Thursday February 24, 2011 in his home.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Lebanon on June 21, 1945, he was the son of Thomas B. Bowman, Sr. of Cleona and the late Jane V. Eby Bowman.<\/p>\n<p>He was a 1963 graduate of Annville-Cleona High School, attended Keystone Junior College, and graduated with a degree in English from Lebanon Valley College.<\/p>\n<p>Tom served in the U.S. Army Reserves.<\/p>\n<p>He began his career as a Police Officer for Palmyra Borough<\/p>\n<p>He worked as a Standard Cost Analyst at Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon<\/p>\n<p>A Photographer for the Lebanon Daily News, and retired as a Newspaper Reporter and Photographer for the Harrisburg Patriot News.<\/p>\n<p>He was an avid dog lover, especially Magoo, his Bull Dog.<\/p>\n<p>He was a Ham Radio Operator with the callsign WA3REY and enjoyed working, using , and repairing computers.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving in addition to his father is a son Mark T. Bowman of Mt. Gretna, two sisters Elizabeth J. Bowman of Bethel, Margaret L. Bowman of Cleona, a nephew Joseph Firoozmand of Cleona, and former wife and friend Sylvia Ferry Bowman of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas B. Bowman, III.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Cleona.
