Shatto, Jr. 85 of West Hanover Township, died Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital. Neil was born in West Fairview and the son of the late Neil Shatto and Una Grime. He was raised and lived his entire life in Fishing Creek Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Neil was a man of Faith, a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, a friend and a community servant. He had a love for cars, gardening, the outdoors, electronics and took pride in all that he did. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed building, restoring and repairing everything.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Neil retired from AMP Inc. with 41 years of service, was a Life Member of the West Hanover Twp. Fire Co. and the Dauphin County Volunteer Fireman&#8217;s Assoc. He formerly served on the West Hanover Twp. Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission. He was a member of Antique Automobile Club of America, Hershey Chapter, Appalachian Amateur Radio Group &#8211; N3JQM, Amateur Radio Relay League, Society of Automobile Engineers, Hershey High School Alumni &#8211; 1955, Harrisburg Hot Rod Dragsters Club and Mt. Laurel Church of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">N<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">eil is survived by his wife of 62 years, Josephine Shatto; his daughter, Sherri (William) Anderson; his son, Timothy (Brenda) Shatto; and grandchildren, Meghan (Andy), Timothy, Chad and Eric.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Mt Laurel Church of God, 1295 Piketown Rd., Harrisburg. The Rev. Dale Miller will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Laurel Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church, prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mt. Laurel Church of God, 1295 Piketown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112. Arrangements are by the Hoover Funeral Homes &amp; Crematory, Inc., Harrisburg.
