Leroy Stufflet<\/a> Ash – K3JJK <\/strong><\/span> Leroy S. Ash (K3JJK), 81, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his residence.<\/span> Leroy served in the US Navy as an EMP3 during Korea, he honorably served his country.<\/span><\/p>\n Leroy was a member of various firemen’s associations, including the State of PA, Berks County, and the Colonial Park Fire Company.<\/span><\/p>\n He was the past local president of CWA- Communication Workers of America, and past president of the Seagull Beach Club, in Cocoa Beach, FL.<\/span><\/p>\n He was an amateur radio operator, callsign K3JJK, for 50 plus years. He also was a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Club (QCWA # 23110 Chapter 37), the American Radio Relay League, and the Central Pennsylvania Repeater Association.<\/span><\/p>\n An employee of AT&T for over 30 years, in that time he worked on the Texas tower project.<\/span><\/p>\n Worked at Camp Hero on Long Island and maintained communication at the Commons during the TMI incident.<\/span><\/p>\n He suffered with heart disease for the past four years. In the past week he went downhill and was under Hospice care.<\/span> Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Joyce Ash;<\/span><\/p>\n his daughters, Arletta Molnar, of Dillsburg, PA, and Tawnia Ash, of Harrisburg;<\/span> sisters, Tina Doerrman, of Reading, PA, and Joanne Portner (with husband Roger), of NJ. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Mary Waltz,<\/span>\u00a0sisters-in-law Donna Eyer, Teresa Farlow (with husband Troy);<\/span><\/p>\n nieces Saundra Siering, Sherry Lemon, Chandra Farlow;<\/span> There will be a committal service at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Section 39 Site 1035<\/a><\/strong>,<\/span>\u00a0on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Helen O.
