\nJuly 26, 1947 – December 3, 2020<\/span><\/p>\n

Martin L. Ginter, 73, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on December 3, 2020. He was born July 26, 1947 to Martin J. Ginter and Mary Ginter in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. <\/span><\/p>\n

Martin was a 1966 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and received his Associate degree in Electrical Engineering from Harrisburg Area Community College. <\/span><\/p>\n

Martin spent the majority of his career as a photographer at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as part of Commonwealth Media Services. In his 31-year career at the Commonwealth, Martin captured many iconic images including the Quecreek mine rescue that obtained national coverage in 2002 and wildlife and landscape photos that can be found on Pennsylvania license plates, maps and publications.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his spare time, he photographed weddings and noteworthy events such as the ‘Lady Keystone Open’ in Hershey, PA and the BASF golf tournament in Georgia. <\/span><\/p>\n

Martin was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church and volunteered over 20 years in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. He enjoyed being a member of the Over The Hill Gang, a group of retirees that tended to the church.<\/span><\/p>\n

Martin also enjoyed going to breakfast at any small family-owned diner on Friday mornings. <\/span><\/p>\n

Somehow Martin still managed to find time for the Central Pennsylvania chapter of the Porsche Club of America (at one time serving as president), fishing trips to Canada and motorcycle rides with his buddies, HAM radio and photographing wildlife, especially birds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Martin was considered a mentor and friend, touching the lives of many.<\/span><\/p>\n

Martin is survived by his loving wife Linda L. Ginter, daughter Adrienne Bruner, her husband Justin, and sisters Barbara Smith and Elizabeth Kelly, and numerous nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/p>\n

A private service will be held at the family\u2019s discretion with a celebration of life to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church in Harrisburg, PA. <\/span><\/p>\n
