Douglass Berry, 88, of New Cumberland, died July 9, 2015 at home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Husband of Ruth A. Berry,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He is also survived by daughter Janet L. Kramer, wife of David<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">; son J. Frederick Berry, husband of Lisa;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He was retired from Gannett Fleming Engineers <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">as Senior Vice President and Treasurer where he was a member of the Board of Directors of that firm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He also served the Pinnacle Health System, the Capital Health System, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">and the Harrisburg Hospital where he had been Chairman of the Board of Directors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He was an Army veteran of WWII in the Pacific<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Member of the National and Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There will be a graveside service at the convenience of the family.
